Anish Popli is a young and dynamic choreographer with a vision to match.
He has recently completed his MFA-Creative Practice/ Choreography with distinction, from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London.
A qualified software engineer, he gave up a lucrative career in the IT industry to follow his dream and put his focus and energy to fuel his passion for dance. He underwent rigorous training for several years, gaining not just technical knowledge of various forms of dance, but experience in direction and creative visualisation as well.
He began his dance training in 1999 in Bollywood Dance with the Shiamak Dawar Institute of Performing Arts. He has since trained in Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Contact Improv and the Latin American dance forms of Salsa, Bachata and Merengue.
Constantly striving for personal growth and firm in his belief that learning is a continuous process, he underwent training in the UK, in 2010 and again in 2011 and 2012 where he attended several classes at renowned dance institutes like Trinity Laban, The Place, Pineapple Dance Studios, Greenwich Dance Agency, Siobhan Davies Dance, Danceworks, Phoenix Dance Theatre Rambert Dance Company and Richard Alston Dance Company among others, to understand technique and advance his learning. A pioneer in this methodology, he is experimenting with this module in some of the top schools in Delhi and NCR.
